Holy Week found Friar Michael Laskey OFM Conv. here in Chesterfield. Friar Michael was our celebrant for the Holy Week Liturgical Services and the opening of the 800 year celebration of Clare of Assisi beginning her Gospel Way of Life . Saint Clare entered the following of Saint Francis on Palm Sunday 1212. The picture shows our Sisters receiving the palm from Friar Michael, Palm Sunday.

Feast of Saint Clare: Friar Kyle Haden OFM presided over the Transitus for Saint Clare and for the Mass on the actual feast Day August 11th. Do you see the small picture of Kyle looking very pius???
800 Anniversary picnic August 20th- The Capuchin Poor Clares from Wilmington, Delaware joined us in a wonderful day of prayer and play. They enjoyed the day and so did we.
Art and Reflection: Friar Jim Van Vurst an OFM from the Cincinnati Province, spent several days with us sharing "Life as a Journey." He also gave watercolor classes to us which we enjoyed very much.
Friar John O'Connor, the Holy Name Provincial, paid a visit to us which we spent with many good laughs.
Sister Miriam celebrated 50 years as a Poor Clare and Sister Donna 25 years. (picture on bottom of the two of them.) Congratulations. Thanks for your faithfulness to the Life
